Description:
Understanding where money comes from and how to use it wisely is important for junior faculty and research managers but unfortunately seldom shared. Spare yourself a personal economic crisis by joining us for an evening with faculty and researchers who will discuss best practices for balancing the books, and offer sage advice for those looking to run their own research group.
Does a 21-year-old right out of college have much in common with a 45-year-old middle-manager and a 60-year-old who's been in the field for 35 years? Do they use the same language? Do they make the same assumptions? Can they work together smoothly? The short answers? No, no, no, YES. To learn how to interact effectively with people from other generations, this training, aimed at workers of all ages, introduces the generations to each other and teaches them about the different ways their coworkers may see the world.
Presenter: Consultant from Harris Rothenberg, International (Employee Assistance Program provider)
