Dr. Celebi completed her residency training in dermatology at Columbia University in New York. She subsequently went on to complete extensive research fellowships at Columbia University in dermatology, medical genetics and cancer genetics. She joined the full time faculty at Columbia University in 1998 and is an associate professor of dermatology.
Dr. Celebi has clinical expertise in cosmetic dermatology and the treatment of atypical moles and melanoma. Her academic interest is in the genetic basis of melanoma skin cancers.
Dr. Celebi is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and is licensed to practice medicine in New York State. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, the Society of Investigative Dermatology, the Dermatology Foundation, American Association for Cancer Research and the Society for Melanoma Research.
