Dr. Mackay-Wiggan is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Clinical Research Unit in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University. She has primary responsibility for development of protocols, compliance with regulatory requirements and direct patient contact including examining and following study subjects at Columbia. Dr. Mackay-Wiggan completed a Master of Science in Biostatistics/Patient Oriented Research at the Columbia University School of Public Health. She has experience in conducting clinical research projects of varying complexity and design and has participated in numerous clinical drug trials (phase 0-IV) ranging from topical applications of products to chemoprevention trials.
Dr. Mackay Wiggan also sees patients in private practice at the Herbert Irving Pavilion and supervises residents in the ambulatory care clinic (resident practice). She also supervises and trains the clinical research fellow.
