Title: Costs of Care: Toward Improved Comprehension
Abstract:
Healthcare costs in the United States are a critical issue facing
healthcare organizations and policy makers. In many respects, however,
our understanding of what it actually costs an organization to
provide care is limited. This presentation will examine comprehension
of healthcare costs in various contexts and report on an initiative
at University of Utah Health Care to better define and understand the
costs and value of care at that institution.
